News Sources

Are there any inappropriate sources of "news" that should not be referenced on NotRot?

Fox News? (sorry, couldn't help myself...)

Not quite sure I understand your question - do you mean what stuff belongs in which forum? As far as I know, any source that is on-topic is appropriate. Whether it's accurate or believable is a different argument...

It's not the news source, it's the content

Let's not play dum here..... any rightwing/leftwing incendiary blather is inappropriate except in JP. .. where readers can go if they're into that kind of stuff. Just cos someone chooses not to read JP is no excuse to express appreciation that someone posted it in Discuss Work.

Yeah... I don't the source is really much of an issue... it's the content. Although the source is bound to be debated if the content is sketchy. Some people consider blog posts to be "news" sources... and in some cases, that might be true, depending on the blog.

In some cases, though, some websites are blocked by the web admins here. If you try to post a link to an article posted by one of those sites you'll likely get an error. I believe those are usually competing notary organizations, though.

Well Ms. Cheryl, You'd sure better "sift through" and comb every word on those sources before posting!! Respected sources of journalism aren't always respected - unless someone's happy with the opinions Smile Lots of self-proclaimed "experts" in every field, I guess.

What do TCs read??

p.s. pm right on Target. "Just the facts, ma'am . . ."

I will inquire. I saw a magazine on a coffee table recently, but really, in my area, they read the Sunday RE section, a pullout magazine that shows all the latest trends, sales in the last week, and open house schedule for the ensuing week.

It's a wonder they have time to read at all, they are all so busy.
