Question on ID
Vesting reads "Marlene Jones, also appearing on record as Marlene Smith Jones, as her separate estate. She has no ID stating Marlene Smith Jones. Title company says she will have to sign all docs Marlene Jones AKA Marlene Smith Jones but the borrower will only need ID showing Marlene Jones. Is this correct?

You are not notarizing the vesting, you are notarizing the person in front of you's signature

She will be signing with her name and her aka on the signature line.

WA laws are so different, no reasonableness allowed...
Here the TC would have (most often) prepared a deed granting title from Marlene Smith Jones to Marlene Jones. Marlene Jones, being the person appearing before you, and the one upon whom you perform your Notarial Act(s). Good luck...

Then what do you do with the deed
from Marlene Smith Jones to Marlene Jones - OP said no ID with Marlene Smith Jones.
