SC, Banking of Signing Jobs?

OK! So, I've been signing dox for awhile, but this is something new for me. I accepted a signing job last Thursday, set for tomorrow, Tuesday. I've not yet received an e-mailed confirmation. I suspect the scheduler was trying to insure SOMEBODY would be available to sign dox during this holiday week, but she continued to approach others who might sign at a lower price than me? Of course, if her price becomes available, my signing job "mysteriously" cancels. I think I've been "slimmed"?

Very well could be. It could also be that it was sent to a wrong email address or they forgot to send it altogether. They could be cruising along dealing with other appointments thinking that this one is handled. (But chances are that your assessment is correct...)

The only way to know for sure is to call them and let them know you haven't received their confirmation. That's something I probably would have done within hours - not days. I don't want to be sitting with a time slot blocked off on my calendar - especially at end-of-month - for an appointment I don't have.

Tell her that without a conformation the time slot remains open for someone elce.

After going on 14 years in this business....my opinion is that

You've been had.

I think it's happened to all of us. It happened to me just last week.

Long story short: they went notary shopping and found a "cheaper" one.

Long shot: human error...but I doubt it.

If I don't receive a written confirmation, I don't have an appointment until I do. This means that I will schedule the time period with another company. I know they don't like it, but I can't rely on a phone call with no written follow-up.
