Scanner/Fax

My Xerox fax is a dinosaur. Time to upgrade. I'm looking for a reliable ADF scanner/fax... wish list is load 35-50 pages into the ADF, press a button and it sends a PDF to my pc. I'm trying to go more email than actual faxing, but can't eliminate the faxing either. Have looked at the Fujitsu scanners but need the fax also. Thanks!

NotRot has a free outgoing fax feature. Why not get the Fujitsu scanner and use the NotRot fax feature on those rare occasions when the receiver insists on a fax?

I bit the bullet at the beginning of the year and bought the Fujitsu ScanSnap. It's a dream, no fuss, no muss. Eliminated fax altogether. Now ServiceLink will only accept scan-email if it secure. Had to turn a job back for Saturday, because BofA requires the faxbacks. Unless more companies require the security, not cost-effective at this point, to purchase the required software. Will be a wait and see.

Jan, the ScanSnap comes with the full version of

the Acrobat Software... so you already have the ability to secure your PDFs

You have to be a Premiere Member to get the free NotRot fax,

but it is well worth the cost.

I bought a Fujitsu fi 4120 duplex scanner on ebay

hoping I can get it set up and it works - scans 25 ppm, 50 page adf

Soon as it's set up I'll be setting up a NotRot fax for those that still require faxes.

I use a Brother ADF Multi purpose machine to scan my docs. It has a 30 page ADF and scans about 10PPM for legal/letter combination. I also use a PDF creator software package (Nitro PDF) which I paid $50.00 for at Office Max The software allows me to combine my 30 page runs into one document. It also has file password encryption, so that you can email securely. If your computer has PC-FAX printing, you can fax the file through your fax machine as well. I like using PC fax because you don't have to mind the fax machine when sending and you avoid missed pages and misfeeds on bigger packages. I always check with the customer beforehand on using password encryption. If you use Google. The drive feature, which was originally called Google Documents allows you to share your file online and the company can download the document securely from Google Drive by authorizing the requester's email address. The requester has to have a current Google account. Those are some of the options I have used.

HP Laser Jet 1536dnf MFP will do this as well. It's got lots of bells.
