The Last to Know...

A Title Co. called me on the 16th to do a signing
tonight. I called them at 11 am today to see
when docs were going to be ready. They said
we will call you right back with that info. Now
it is 5pm. I called they said its been cancelled.
It is a new co. for me. I am mad, they could have
let me know sooner.

Yes that stinks. Many times I have committed to a signing and when it cancels last minute I have now passed on one or two other oppotunities.

Not to mention the time wasted baby-sitting the computer.

My favorite is when I call BO to say no docs yet, & they tell me it's been cancelled! That's happened a couple times recently.

A Chase LO told me that they have the info to title 72 hrs prior to closing so why can't they prepare the HUD before the date of closing. Title thinks that getting the docs to us 2 hrs prior to closing is acceptable? They should get us docs the day before the signing date. No reason whatsoever! Very Poor customer service.

Tell you what, Dennis..........

You simply don't have enough information to know who to believe.

LO says one thing

Title says another.

Lender points the finger at Title.

Title points the finger at Lender.

Notary and borrower are left out in the cold and generally out of the loop.

It's no way to run a railroad.

And then both Title and Lender squak loudly when the government steps in.

Hey, by doing this they're just asking for it.

And, both will holler like He!! when the feds turn up the heat.

Consumers and borrowers are getting sick of this and where do they go?

Rightly or wrongly they go to the guy wearing suspenders.

I agree that we (us and in some cases the BO) are are not given the consideration that is warranted in regard to timeliness of getting docs, but I know this LO and trust and believe her when she says the info is given to title early enough for us to to get the docs earlier than the do. I believe title has made the decision not to increase their staffing levels to handle the volume. I realize that some LO's try to Cover their Ass when issues arrise....
