VA Loan Closing This Morning With 217 Pages
Oh my goodness!!! I forgot how big these VA packages can be sometimes. I've gotten so used to those HARP super streamline packages of 84 pages with three notarizations where you are in and out of their house in about 20-25 minutes. I think this closing is going to take at least 90 minutes with all this paperwork. I'm just very happy this is a triple digit paying job. I didn't have too much of anything else I was going to do today anyway......just one other closing.....a quick one.....and it's so very nice that both of them are each about 6 minutes from my house.....it doesn't get any better than that.

I hope by triple digits you mean over $100, for a package
like that, on a Saturday, I would have asked for $150-175 (and gotten it too).

Re: I hope by triple digits you mean over $100, for a package
I think that is what triple digits implies......over $100......and of course on a Saturday, VA package of 217 pages, I would expect nothing less than $150-$175 either (and getting it too).

The biggest reason is the conversion to letter size.
I don't see where we are saving anything on paper with this conversion either. One of their forms converted is 3 letter size sheets of paper as to 1 legal sheet.

I had one the other night at 168 pgs. I don't know what
it is with some lenders--it's overkill. I'm guessing they don't really know how to handle a VA loan & through in all kinds of extra forms. I do many VA refi's, and many aren't any larger than a regular refi. The largest pkg. I can remember was 185 pgs.--ridiculous!
