Bidding on Closings
I have recently received emails asking me to send this particular signing company my Fee for a Closing: I assume it is in my geographical area, no explanation as to what type of signing it is, no info on what this co. will pay for this Closing, etc., etc. Seems that they want me to BID on a potential Closing. I refused all their requests. Anyone else experieinced this situation?

Yes.
When I was in construction, we called this "reverse auction bidding." They just keep haggling the prices down or shopping someone lower.
I don't negotiate on fees.

When did they finish building you, Jessica? And I should add, whenever it was, they did a first-class job.

You're funny!
Out of college I worked on political campaigns, and then as a lobbyist for various interests (from guns to construction) then I ended up working for a construction contractor clients in corporate administration. I had a bunch of other odd jobs before college--from sailboat refurbishing to musical instrument sales... I used to try out new jobs because they "sounded interesting."

As a fellow notary, I like your pricing. Just curious, though, how'd you come up with the 27 cents???? JK!

I though $.26 was not quite enough and I thought $.28 was way too much--I did not want to appear as a greedy Notary to them, so I settled on the $.27 as part of the Fee. I'm still waitin' for their response.............
