General Notary Work
Got a call today from a nice young lady that needed 2 documents notarized. I asked for her ID, which is was her. But she was not the signer on the documents. I told her that the signers will have to be present with State ID. She was nice about it, but i could not notarize without the signers being present.

I got a call last Wednesday from a title company that wanted me to do a closing at 3 p.m. Thursday. I told them I was busy at that time and could not do it. They were quite pleasant about it, but I could not be in two places at once.

Quite. (Proof Positive that we're not all as 'dumb' as we look; some of us actually know what we can/cannot do . . . where we can/cannot be . . . stop at red, go on green . . . avoid signers unseen . . .)

Next laugh: I did not realize
that Hugh's post was meant to be humorous? I was like, "Okay...you're right about that, Hugh. Can't be in two places at once."

I do believe Hugh's post had an element of sarcasm
to it? That's the way I took it.....could be wrong.

You must be feeling better today, Pegi. Brenda didn't get it, and she wasn't even run over by a truck!

Lol! It is funny. One of documents needed her mother in law signature notarized which the mother in law is in another state, and the other document was already signed by her husband's empoyer that also needed to be notarized. These documents are due in court tomorrow a.m. in another state.

Lacy, I think if you had added those additional facts ...
... in the original post, it would not have raised so many eyebrows. Now it's beginning to make sense why you thought this instance was exceptional.
