How Fabulous Is This!!!
A certain lender might have messed up a bit on some FHA closings. I had three signings scheduled for tomorrow and five for today and all of a sudden they are trying to get two of the Saturday ones on my schedule for today. Oh.......they are FHA loans......this is starting to make sense.......someone needs a recission calendar. So how am I possibly going to do seven closings in one day? I can barely make it through six......I just don't want to think about seven.
Here is where it gets pretty fabulous. I start calling all the borrowers and explaining it is EOM day, lender wants them to close today instead of tomorrow, docs are running late, I have a full schedule already and will do the very best I can to accommodate them, thank goodness they live very close to me (all within 4 miles), I am meeting one of the borrowers at Panera and then I will be coming straight over to them afterwards and making a little circle around my house. All three of the borrowers offered to come to Panera......"we are retired"......"oh we can grab some lunch"......."that's really close, we have errands to run afterwards anyway".
So I printed my docs, drove to Panera, sat and did four closings back to back, and had the most wonderful time. All of the borrowers were so friendly and happy and when they were leaving they were telling the next couple how painless it was and how good I was. I've had a couple of pretty crappy weeks since my car accident, late docs and a very crabby borrower and this is turning out to be my most memorable closing day ever.
I hope all of you are having a great EOM day as well.

I love meeting people at Panera I find the privacy, big tables, free wi-fi (if needed) makes for an easy meeting or study location. I also bring ear plugs if I need to concentrate or study something if the noise level gets too high.

Well you did good! It sure helps to be a ‘problem solver’. You saved the borrowers a month’s interest, you saved some LO’s ass,(for which you will NEVER get any credit) And you have my thanks for being a professional, and helping to give the rest of us get deserved step-up in stature…at least to some….Thanks!

How fantastic is that! I was just thinking today that's
exactly what we should be doing at EOM--staying in one place & have the borrowers come to us. It would be so much more productive!

Sweet! great idea? I think I could have done that with some
of my borrowers today. maybe next month my only question is how you can keep a table for so long?

I'm so jealous! I would love a day like that. I've been running all over town and two other towns today. It's past midnight now and I need some time to wind down.
