I don't like someone calling and acting like
they are the title company when in fact they are a signing company. The caller said he was the closing coordinator for xxx which is a reputable title company down south. I asked him twice who he was with and he gave the same answer..xxx title company. I agreed and did not check my e-mail for my confirmation until after a closing last evening. That is when I noticed that this person was not directly linked to the title company. I called this individual today and told him that he represented himself as the title co.. He said that he calls himself the closing coordinator for the title company. I told him that sounds like what I call a scheduler for a company.

I've run into the same thing and I don't like it either. What goes through my mind is that if this person can be deceptive about this issue, what else will they be deceptive about? And if they have to try to be something they're not, what are they trying to hide? By any chance, is this person's first name Chris?

That happened to me once and it was Rob from
the R&R Group, a SS that had extremely poor payment reviews.
