Inspections/ Sandy

It seems that because of the storm Sandy, Stearns Lending Inc.(and I suspect others) will not fund on any loan in affected areas unless they get an “Acceptable Property Inspection Report” dated AFTER 10/30/2012 affected areas CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NC, NH, NJ, PA, RI, SC, VT, WV, D. C. Apparently they don’t want to re-fi a house that isn’t there? Could be some redo’s and some extra work for us and inspectors? JMO

As the saying goes, Les, every dark cloud has a silver lining. Same thing here in CA when we have fires and HUGE quakes, there is aftermath of reviewing appraisals, affidavits that property sustained no fire damage, etc. Another peekaboo at the whole loan package scenario.
