Us vendors have many more than payment issues!!!!!!
A fair fee would be a good start!!!!
How about you either raise your fee's to your hiring companies and or lower the fee you gouge out of ours?
Sorry ya'll but I have such a low tolerance for lowballers and undercutters!
It's admirable that you're making the effort to make good, but your rating of 2 1/2 stars is really indicative of your pathetic fees.

Thanks for beginning to set right some of the problems signing agents have encountered with your company.
When you called recently, I declined to accept an assignment because of your reputation. Obviously, you are taking steps to correct that, and it is apprecated. There are other issues, the primary one being the paucity of your fees. However, you are addressing the overriding concern, which is that if someone does work for you, they should be paid, and I commend you.
When you think you have a handle on that problem, please examine your fee structure, and see if there might be a fairer approach.

I have passed up many opportunities to work for you recently because of the ratings. Let's get mutual on a few issues, and we can be happy campers.

Thank You Jaclyn Fox For Your Post.
I admire and respect the fact that you came on here to address any vendor payment issues that any notaries may be having and letting them know that you are trying to make it right. I did four closings for your company recently, was offered a very competitive price for my area and the distance I traveled for the closings, and I was paid exactly on schedule per your invoicing system. I have enjoyed signing for Mortgage Connect and will continue to do so. Thank you for the business.

Just to be the devil's advocate here...I'm not sure what you
mean, Pegi, when you say "...was offered a very competitive price for my area...". What I do know is that you, have stated here many times that you have no problems with lowball fees and working for lowball companies. You accept them freely.
So I'm not sure what you are basing "very competitive" pricing on. If they're offering you more than your normal rate it's very scary since these people offer $65 for a closing.
I just don't want newbies to get confused by that message.
This is exactly the reason why I hate that saying, "they met my fee"...it means absolutely nothing because that person's fee could be $25. "They met my fee of $XXX" has a little more credibility. " They met my fee of $125" is as credible as it gets.
Of course this is only my opinion and $.75!

Fees & expectations
Mortgage Connect has paid promptly, but their fees are low and they always want fax backs. That adds so much time, travel, and can delay returning docs. When I said that fax backs were going to require a higher fee that ended working for them. Also, their "Provident" loans are a major PIA. They demand perfection at no additional fee. If the borrower makes an error that is not acceptable. BS

Re: Fees & expectations
If Mortgage Connect is handling Provident, they need to be prepared to hire quality notaries and need to be prepared to pay a commensurate fee. I handle Provident for a Virginia TC, and I charge $150. Closing a Provident loan does require extra care and attention to detail. I do not understand how MC could possibly keep the Provident account if they are hiring cheap notaries.

Re: Fees & expectations
in this post mc seems to be addressing late payment and does not address low fees. so, again, i will not complete the sign up pac. good feedback all.

Re: Fees & expectations
I have accepted closings from them over a 2 yr period.....slow pay and low pay now... If they want the perfection...they will have to pay for it.

Did mortgage connect give you an extra fee to compliment them in the forum?
