Multiple pages on docs from LSI

Am I having problems with Adobe/printer, or are others having lots of miscellaneous repetitious papers in your doc packages from LSI. Tonight I had 4 copies of the Itemization for each borrower (each one having just their signature on the page) 8 pages total, 4 copies of the TIL (two pages each, again each signor separate) 16 pages total. Two copies were at the beginning of the package, two at the end.

Also, three copies of the Limited Correction agreement, two Signature affs for the wife, one for the husband, Two copies of the work-up HUD (9 pages each), plus a few other ones.

This is the third LSI package in the last week that came thru like this. The package would have only been around 110 pages without all of the repetitions. The doc package was 148 packages. I just want to make sure it is with everyone, not a problem on my end before I call LSI. TIA

It's not just LSI, it depends on the Lender. I have had 157 pages and most were duplicates.
They even had 3 copies of the HUD then later in the package they had another HUD, which I figured was their work HUD but both had final on them. They wanted the clients to sign both but the numbers were different. Check out the lender and if it's the lender that does all the extra paper work then make note and always ask who the lender is before you quote them a price for the signing.

Is it by chance a Citi package? That is the only time I have encountered this problem with LSI docs. I got duplicates of almost everything. If it is not a Citi package.....then I don't know what to say.......except I hope you get it figured out and hopefully you will have a good closing.

No, GMAC. The other ones were also GMAC. I've had many packages that have had duplicate copies, but these seem more like "hiccups" in the system. Random pages that are duplicates. sometime two signature pages for a document or two or three pages of "page 5", etc. in addition to the ones I listed above.

A signer that is an IT person for the banks stated that they are having issues with the software programs that are causing the duplicates. Some have correced those errors and others have not. In the meantime we are using alot of toner and paper.

In instances like this I have been advised to use a sticky note on the package front, letting who ever gets the package back is notified that there were duplicates in the package when printed at the notaries end and you want to bring it to their attention. I would have the client sign any and all pages that need signatures (making apologies at the table) and let them dispose of any duplicates that may not be needed. Just make sure that it is known that you were not at fault for any duplications.

I had a Citi package the other day, not from LSI, and there were 3 HUDS, 6 RTC, 3 loan apps, and multiple other docs. It's truly annoying not just for us but the borrower as well.

Unfortunately, I don't find that at all uncommon. (Not talking LSI here, either.) Frequently it's from some unknown private lender or other company that may just originates loans. When I see lots of duplications, that's often a sign that they haven't yet sold the loan and they want to keep lots of options open. In those, though, I'm also seeing 4 different versions of a Compliance agreement, 10 different versions of something else (well, maybe a slight exaggeration...). And then there are the broker disclosures... But don't get me started on those!

I have not had the particular problem you described, but one thing I do routinely experience is that LSI seems to throw everything plus the kitchen sink into their packages. Such as, examples of how to have certain forms completed and where the signature lines are on each doc, proof of HOI, and multiple copies of the closing instructions. Another thing I dislike with them is that they send SO MANY attachments! The Chase team is the exception - they combine the file into one pdf.

I do not have any problems with lsi, the docs usually have 110 pages or less, although I have not had a citi from them yet. But I have done alot of others. A few instruction pages through out, but not that many.

its GMAC

All of the GMACs from LSI have the multiple itemizations, tils, 1003s and lots of others, some with each individual borrowers name on them. I put them all together and give each borrower their pile of TIL signature pages, and review one of the first pages with them, and put the rest in the back with the closing instructions. Otherwise, the borrowers become irritated at the repetition and begin expounding on wasting paper. This saves the company from looking wasteful, and me from having to hear the poor tree stories, and we all look good.
