Refi Loan Signing
So, I've just scheduled my first loan signing (refi). Super excited and nervous at the same time. I was advised that they work with e-docs. I received my W-9 info via email and I received a Closing Order/Confirmation form. With e-docs does this mean that I need to go elsewhere to print thes docs or should these be forwarded to me via email? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you don't know what edocs are, you should rethink
getting started in this business.

Re: If you don't know what edocs are, you should rethink
Thank you snowflake for your feedback. Rethink is not an option however asking questions and learning is. I am well aware of what edocs are. Again, because this is my first time I am probably nervous unnecessarily, as I have not experienced the process. I was also aware that docs could be prinited from the client's site but did not know if this was a typical practice. I appreciate positive feedback because we've all done something for the first time at some point in our lives : )

The docs will be e-mailed to you. Be sure to check instructions and print docs properly (letter-legal size). Take your time and check and re-check everything before leaving the table. Don't be afraid to call tittle or ss with any problems or questions. Relax, you'll be fine. Goog luck to you.

Sure hope you have a Laser printer; not an inkjet
Depending upon hiring entity, you might have to go to a provided website to pick up docs to print. Good luck.

Thank you Lee, Yes I do have a laser, my lap top, and my mortgage document knowledge so I'm ready. But you know as a first timer I get the jitters....LOL. Thank You for your feed back.

LM/ /CA: I'm sure the signing will go well. Do not rush
through the signing. Take your time and doublecheck everything. Enjoy the "jitters", they will go away with a few signings under your belt, so enjoy those "jitters". Everyone has given great advice and tips. Stephanie

Good luck with your first signing! Like others have said, check, check and re-check before you leave the signing table. Any questions, call ss or title. It's better to call, than having to make a second trip...it gets easier!

As Lee mentioned, docs aren't necessarily "e-mailed" to you (I assume that's what you meant by "picking up elsewhere"). One thing to watch is having SS and TC instructions strewn out everywhere. At times, they're in my email inbox, then there's more at the download site . . . oh, then some more in the package. I learned just this week that it's a really GOOD idea to look for all the instructions before confirming appt. w/BO. Based upon my schedule, I get to know how much can be done - will I be able to fax-back multiples, print extra sets (of the HUD-1 or DOT) - or if I'm meeting borrower at her home, office, or whatever.
Hope it went well (from your well-chosen/controlled responses, your attitude will save you in this "rat race") (:
