Scary, unusual or just plain different signing jobs

I'm in the process of writing a book about Notary Public/signing agents.
I would like to include a few chapters about funny, scary, unusual or just plain different signing jobs from notaries around the country.

If you submit a story/article about your experience as signing agent or a job that you did along with your permission to reprint it
I will also include your name and any contact information you wish in the article and also list you as a contributor to the book.

I would like to have all information by Nov. 1, 2012. You can email to [e-mail address]
please just type or paste in the body of the email. (no attachments will be accepted) and no commission will be paid for any sales of the book.

Are you serious? A book about Notary Public/signing agents? No offense or anything Kevin, but your book sounds like it might be kind of boring. The life of the Notary Public/signing agent. This has got to be a book for educational/training purposes I'm guessing because I don't think it's going to hit the best sellers list anytime soon....I certainly can't see Oprah featuring it in her Book Club.......and I'm not holding out much hope it will be made into a tv movie either.

So tell us...what prompted you to write a book about Notary Public/signing agents? Have you written other books before? So you get some funny, scary, unusual stories.....what will be in the rest of the chapters? Tell us more......especially if you would like us to contribute.......for free I might add.

I'm just kiddin' with ya.......but seriously, I do wish you the best of luck on your book.

Who would your readership/audience be? Who would take the time to research it and buy it:~ I think you're better off writing a book about how to save money at the grocery store to feed a family of 5, or bargain hunting, etc.

Yep, pretty boring stuff.

It might be boring, but I can think of a few topics that would fill many pages. One topic would be figuring out the true cost of doing business, and developing a pricing policy. Another would be compound interest; even though those of us are NSAs and not attorneys, or not acting as the borrower's attorney, don't explain interest rates to borrowers, it would be helpful to understand it ourselves so we know why people get excited about a 1% change.

One thing about being in a rural area is very few stories can be repeated; it's just to easy to connect the dots in a small town.

Your book sounds like a boring subject, but so is a book about a boring accountant. Now both of these characters are found in movie and TV productions as characters under different and unique situations. Next time you see a comedy with a notary or accountant, remember this post because it sounds like someone with a unique idea we'd never believe will happen.

I actually like the idea of a book. Been in the business 8+ years. I love it but it's funny about situations that arise. We work our butts off to save the customer's house/car, etc. Amazing. K

Boring? Are you kidding me?

I signed in a nudist camp, and while riding in a golf cart with my two nude clients, I saw a bald, naked man riding a Schwinn bicycle, wearing only white tube socks and tennis shoes. Every day and every person bring something new and fun. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.

Re: Boring? Are you kidding me?

HA HA HA!!! It's too late for me to be laughing this hard or this LOUD. That's not something you see everyday.

Funny thing is, just yesterday a Staples employee helping me with an emergency print job (brand new Amazon toner mailed, not opened until I went to print pckg - and it was empty) asked me what I did. When I told her, she said, "Oh, I thought it was something exciting . . . like an attorney" (then I could "sue" the ink manufacturer)!

Well, Kevin as one writer to another, I say, go for it! It's a writer's job TO MAKE the un-exciting VERY exciting/fascinating. I don't think it should be that much of a challenge - especially if you include accounts about other industry professionals and their "raw" experiences (:
