Signit-Notary - Losing Customers

Got an email this morning from Signit-Notary here in California. The heading was "Losing Customers, Too Many Mistakes". Then they included 6 sample loan docs showing where the mistakes were being made. I couldn't believe my eyes as these were "super basic" mistakes that even a newbie wouldn't make i.e, "be sure to sign and notarize an acknowledgment", etc. Wow. Also, there were instructions on how to fill out an Identity Affidavit and to be sure to sign, date it and, believe it or not, Notarize it or not???
Unbelievable. I guess they are getting their "money's worth" on $65 Notaries.
Just thought I'd share.

Last week a company called me to be the second notary on a split signing. We could not come to terms on fee, so they hired someone cheaper. Just yesterday the same company called me to go out and have POA signed by wife so the loan could re-close with husband signing all the docs for both of them. Turns out the first notary botched the job. They should have just paid me the additional $25 we were haggling over and their loan would have been closed and funded already. Apparently they got their money's worth on the first closing.

Yep! I just LMAO when this happens. Been doing this for more than 12 years and hold to my fee. If they don't meet it, Adios!

It is really so sad what some things have come to. That $25 extra to get an a-1 job done is going to break their biz??? and then they end up paying double. just nuts. they deserve to lose business.
