Still No Payment From Insured Closings

Many many telephone calls to Sue and Miranda and it's always the same old thing....."the check is in the mail"....."this has been taken care of already"....."oh....you haven't gotten your check yet.......I mailed that out last week"......."checks are being mailed out next week". They tell so many stories to all the different notaries, they don't even know what the truth is.

Well I know what the truth is. Insured Closings owes me money from a signing in August, I have still not gotten paid, and they are obviously giving me the runaround. They are actually kind of rude that I would have the nerve to call them to ask for my money. I guess they thought they would just keep it or something.

Any notary that takes a signing from them is only asking for trouble. If you read their reviews on Signing Central, you will see that they have a history of not paying their notaries, or paying them with bounced checks. Two and half stars.....never again.....never again........give someone the benefit of the doubt and you get taken advantage of.....never again.....never again.

Bad reviews going back to 2008. Concentrate on four and five star companies so you can stop being a collector and build your business as a Signing Agent. I give "the benefit of doubt" to three and a half star companies only once. Anything less (stars), I might as well go to the casino. I've been burned only once in over three years.

So why did you? I don't feel bad for you at all. You asked for it. You must be desperate to accept work from them.

1Notary1: I didn't ask you to feel bad for me......and desperation had nothing to do with it. You don't know me.....you have no right to say that I must be desperate to accept work from them. You need to watch your words. I just made a bad judgement call is all.....I gave someone a chance that didn't deserve it. I think we've all been there a time or two in our lives. Trust me.....their piddly little $85.00 is certainly not going to make or break me. I'm just making sure everyone here is getting the message in regard to Insured Closings. Time for another company that does not pay their notaries to leave the industry.

Ur right. I didn't report the one that stiffed me because I felt stupid. Thanks for reporting and hopefully we can put all the deadbeats out of business with more information.

What an absolutely horrible person you are.

You have a lot of nerve to tell me to go away. You have no idea what this job entailed and you are just assuming edocs. I am so sick and tired of people like you so high and mighty and don't have a clue what you speak of. Get over yourself!

If I were you, I’d be too embarrassed to post here and admitting: 1) doing work for a 2 star company with a long history of not paying, and 2) admitting to accept $85. I don’t even accept that for overnight docs. Thus, you must be desperate. If you don’t like criticism, then don’t post ridiculous comments like that. Get over it and stop whining.

Until you know the circumstances of the event that transpired.....mind your own business.

Pegit, I don't blame you for accepting one closing from them knowing they have a bad rep. Live and learn. We've all been there and taken a chance on a company that is bad. But I do have an issue with you accepting $85.00 for a closing. You are one of the cheap notaries that is bringing this industry down. You should be charging no less than a $100.00 for a closing. Just my opinion.

Did you contact the Title co and try to collect from Title?

Numerous calls to title but he doesn't really want to pay because he already paid Insured Closings. He's not using them anymore though because he doesn't want this to fall on him. It's not really about the $85.00 anymore.....it's more about letting everyone know what this company is about. Susan Harvey has gotten away with not paying her notaries or paying them with bad checks for years, but this time she messed with the wrong person.

Perhaps this is an opportunity for you. If the TC is no longer utilizing this highly disregarded SS, why not market yourself directly to the Escrow Officer? A simple old school "Thank You" card works wonders. Smile

I believe you are correct, regardless of the circumstances, everyone deserves to be paid. I also believe that, yes, it is time to move on. Thank you for sharing...
