Title Co, calls to yell at Me????

This is the first time,,, I did a signing for Title Inc. in Maryland. I completed it with no problems on August 25th. I sent my invoice via e-mail on the 28th. As of today I never got paid. I have emailed , called and was told, "we never received your invoice"! (this was two weeks ago). I resent it, still no check. I called the lender to let them know the TC has not paid for this closing. Would'nt you know that today I got a call from TC stating I am over the top,and out of line to make these kind of accusations. I can hear the anger in his voice, my phone is vibrating..... BLA, BLA, BLA,,, like some four year old that just got caught red handed . He actually hung up on me after a few minutes. He still did not say anything about paying me.....
I find it very hard to believe that Title Companies don't keep a record of who handles their closings, dates, times.

Do you know who called you? I would find out who is "in charge." Send and emal and/or call and calmly tell them you do not understand what is going on. And tell your story. In other words take charge of this situation because obiously no one is in charge. Now if the person was the person at the helm, you are spitting in the wind. Find a way to get your check and cross them off the list. A bad dream.

You may never do business with them anyhow. And as I have seen others say and I am in agreement with "would you want to"?

Hey Barb:
Yes he is the partner of the TC. It was my first and yes "last closing", it takes all types. We see it everyday.

Well that's a scarey thought... But not a first.

Well, there is your answer. Too bad. You can only do what you can and follow up to get your money. I would email him and ask EXACTLY what you can do to get this thing put to bed. It really is a rhetorical question. But maybe it will inspire a civil response.

I have talked previously on NR of a Title Co. that wanted to deduct $25.00 for a photocopy of ID that they did not like and $25.00 for borrower's (who did not have a checking account) failure to complete the Auto debit for monthly payment. The Owner of the TC -- it is a long and ridiculous story that is worth telling again. In any event, I said look send me $50.00, when can I expect it. He said right away. So he was happy. He did me out of $50.00. At least I didn't have to deal with him again because this was stupid and to me he was someone looking for a way not to pay. The quick payment proved that. It was the first and last. The kicker here... he called me months later for another job. NO, I did not accept it. LOL

It takes all kinds as you said. Hope you get your money SOON.
