Venting
Last night I had a closing scheduled for 7pm..it was a 35 min drive away..No big deal..At 4pm I still had not docs so I start the emailing and phone calling to get docs..NObody replied..So I figured I had done all I could do and I went about my business. I finally received a call at 7:30 informing me that the docs will be uploaded soon!
I had to explain that I would have appreciated a phone call or an email keeping me informed of the situation and I have a life too..I am a professional and working is not all that do..She asked me if I still wanted to do this closing and I said NO..I had planned on being at the BOs house at 6:45 and back home at 8 - 8:30 Not be at the Bos at 8:45 and be back home at 10..I was nice and declined..I can be and I am flexible..but this just rubbed me the wrong way..5 mins later I get a call from them again..Am I available for a 9:30 pm! No white glove status for me..
Tonight I had one scheduled for 6:30..Again NO docs at 4..I do the same thing emails and phone calls No replies..I had another closing to go to along the way before the 6:30. This TC is usually early about getting docs to me..Usually But not today! So I had to make a choice and leave for the 5:00 appointment. I finally get a call about the 6:30 that docs have just been approved..Ok good..When can I get them? She wasnt sure..And then tells me that the entire package needs faxed back!!! Say what? That was not on my confirmation and I would like to be compensated for this! She tells me that she would have to get that approved and she would call me right back..I never heard from anyone again!!
Ok is it me this week? But gee all I want is a little respect!
Thankfully most of my days are not like these and I am happy for that..Now I feel better and am ready to face another day!

I have a sneaky suspicion I know which TC you are talking about based on your white glove comment. Oddly enough I was just coming on the forum to see if anyone else was having issues with them. I have had the exact same issues. In addition I have had some extremely rude schedulers! They called me to go to the same closing 4 times the other night. At 9:30 pm (the final time I had said no) the scheduler copped a major attitude with me and wanted to know WHY? They always say that their calls are being recorded...I wonder if they listen to how some of their schedulers speak to us.
Tonight, I just now (9:00 pm) called to find out where my 8:00 am closing package is. Given that I have a 1.5 hour drive to get there. After being on hold for 45 minutes, I am told that they are working on tomorrow mornings packages and it will be on the site by 2am CST. WHAT? And it isn't even end of month. None of my other TC's are having any difficulty getting anything to me on time...just them. :-/
So if you are speaking of who I think you are...you aren't alone. I'm right there with ya.

I don't know what co. you're referring to, but late docs
seems to be more common these days. As I understand it there's a huge backlog of loans in the pipeline because of the surge in business. I'm not making excuses for them, of course. We all need a cut-off time, especially for those of you who have distances to travel. They need to come to understand that we can't always accommodate a "docs whenever" criteria. I had one today that was a surprise pkg. of 200 pgs. when I opened it. Ughhhhh! There were 3 signers on this loan. I called the co. & they adjusted my fee. Another co. wanted faxbacks (for free, of course) and I called to tell them there's no way I have time for faxbacks in my schedule these days. I'm glad it's so busy and there are so many happy borrowers (low rates & low payments), but I'm only human, after all. :-) LOL

sucks huh! Completely joyless when they want to pay you $35 for a no sign and trip fee...another co. to boycott.

Cheryl, that "trip fee" mandate is why my confirmation states that if I do my contracted job, I am to be paid the full contracted fee. It's not my fault if the client decides to cancel at the table or rescinds.
That confirmation of the confirmation also states that if I don't have docs at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled signing time (which was set by other parties), that I may not be able to complete the job.

Ohhhhh I like that confirmation idea, how do you work that? That is a VERY good idea!
By the way I got my docs for my closing...at 5am. :-/
