W-O-W
Got a signing through TitleSource for 10/10/2012 11:00 AM. Cancelled but I had already left a message for the borrower. When the borrower called back I told him it was cancelled. He was so upset so I offered to call TitleSource to see why it was cancelled. They told me it was a split signing and when that happens it goes to NationDirect so that the two notaries can be on the same page....what?? Now why would they send this to NationDirect just because it is a split signing? Are you guys thinking what I am thinking? Oh and BTW it was a Chase loan. I still haven't gotten my jaw up off the floor!

speaking of Title Source
I haven't heard directly from them in a while (usually the cheapies try to call me for Title Source ones, which I do not accept). However this week I received 3 calls from them. I had to turn all 3 down tho, One signing was 2 and half hours away, one way. The second was 4 and half hours away. And they just called again for one that was 6 hour 45 minutes one way.
I hope they actually call me with ones in my area instead of the SS calling me for them. Then I will actually do them.

Guess they couldn't find any $40 notaries in the borrower's area to fill their orders so they had to reach out to a notary (you) 2 - 4 hours away. Well, they'll learn....one of these days...

Probably the SS always offer 40-75. No can do... Hopefully nobody takes them, then places like TS will call us directly.

Exactly... it's all about $$$
...and how not to pay double for the split signing so they call the bottom feeders knowing they'll find some idiot who will do it for $40-$50

Please tell me more about Title Source. They must not be very happy with Nation's Direct (understandable) because they approached me to discuss the possibility of my company entering into a negotiated contract with them for signing coverage nationwide.
I'd love to hear more about how they deal with and relate to you all.
Thanking you in advance for your feedback.

Title Source does Quicken loans and Chase loans. In fact I have a Quicken tonight.
They use many SS's but I get most assignments directly from them. Not all, but most. I'm paid very well for these loans. More than the SS's are receiving.

I'm with Jan. From a Notary's perspective, direct work from them is pretty great because they pay well. Work from them through a signing service tends be be a headache...especially the lowballing signing services. Of course, I, won't for those SSs so that's never an issue for me.
But direct work through TitleSource? Sure... I'd do it if they met me fee. They don't have much work in my area, but once in a while.

Split signing..More like splitting the fee..Terrible..I used to do quite a bit from Title Source then the started to use a SS and I dont hear too much from them now..SS must be using someone cheaper..
I love doing the Quickens loans..Bos are always well informed and not too many documents!

Used to do several TS Quicken loans a month; excellent fee, quick pay, docs days in advance, small packets, no duplications. Don't hear from them anymore; don't know what happened. If you can do it, tell them you'll handle Quicken but not Chase; that will save you untold headaches. Then call me if you have one within 250 miles of me.

Well all I can tell you is, they sometimes call directly. They also use ND, JMT and field choice that I know of. Those are the only ones who try to get me to take work.

When I talked to TitleSource and they said they sent it to Nations I had no idea it was Nations Direct. So I called the number that TitleSouce gave me and talked to Nations Direct. When I explained the situation Nations Direct asked how much TitleSource was paying me. I told her and she said she could only pay $60.00. Well that ain't gonna happen. I have not done a Quicken loan for TitleSource in over a month...only Chase. Has anyone else done Quicken lately? Those packages were the best. Borrowers have been so upset with their Chase loans lately because most of them have taken 2 to 3 months!!

Yes I've done a few Quickens lately for TS. Yesterday's Quicken was anything but quick. Got to the table and borrower immediately noticed that his name was misspelled on docs - they had left off his first name and just had middle and last name. He said he had not noticed it when he reviewed his docs online. We call Quicken and they quickly correct docs, but now I must go back home and print corrected docs and come back. Borrower offered to print but you can imagine what a nightmare that probably would have ended up being. Besides, I had other appointments lined up right after his and could not spend that kind of time. A return trip four hours later (after my other two appointments that I had lined up after his) was the only way I could do it.
That part was the easy part. I had to make THREE calls to TS/Quicken to get my revised fee confirmation to reflect an additional print and trip fee in addition to the regular signing fee. That part was a royal pain. I think they finally got it worked out.
I don't do Chase for TS - I ask who the lender is when they call.

I do Quicken for TS. Did one last night. They dont call me often. Maybe 2-3 times a month. I was told cuz my fees are too high. But they get paid almost $400 for a signing fee on some loans. Either way JMT or Fieldchoice calls me to do Titlesource. JMT is really low around $50. I know they have to be getting more than that from Titlesource.
I havent done much Chase loans with them.

TS doesn't call me any longer either. I did get a call from a vendor person who wanted me to lower my already low fee. Whatever. JMT paid $50 for Quickens in 2003, did a ton of them. How in the world does Nations Direct get any biz from anyone. Sad.

Paula, I had the same thing happen to me. I called back for the signing and they said they sent it to ND and to call them. When I let her know that I will NOT do signings for ND, she then gave it to me and cancelled it with ND. I have done 75 signings for Title Source this year, most of them Quicken. I have done a few for Negrete and the fee was the same as Title Source. Maybe we should all email them letting them know if they need to outsource any work, we prefer Negretes to all others. JMHO.

Tony pays a very fair fee, certainly better than ND or JMT. Yes, I definately prefer Negretes get the business over the others.
