Wells Fargo "approved" Notary?

i have done a handful of closings for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. I made a call on one of their mortgage offices. The sales manager asked if I was on the Wells FARGO approved Notary LIST. I had never been asked that question before.

Does anyone know how to become an approved Wells Fargo Notary? Thanks in advance for your professional answers.

There is no list

Brokers call me from time to time mostly at EOM when they are super desperate to close a deal. Then in turn it is turned over to RELS then handed over to Nations Direct or the other high volume bad rated site.

They tried to lowball me and I said my agreement for my fee was with broker and I am not signed up with you. Took longer to get paid but my fee was agreed on.

If you want volume WF work, it will be with RELS which farms out. If you get called by them directly they will pay the fee.

I'm pretty sure their Sales Manager has no idea what he's talking about unless they keep a small list of local notaries for in house calls when they've got emergencies or something. As a general rule, Wells farms their stuff out.

A lot of the Wells Fargo packages I see come via ServiceLink (when they meet my fee). But yeah, It's usually RELS Valuation that handles them and they send them out to the lowest bidder... so beyond ServiceLink, I never really see a WF package, because they go to the lowballers.

I think RELS is just a wholly owned subsidiary of Wells Fargo anyway... and Maybe First Am is involved in there somewhere, too.... can't remember. Either way... there is no approved list with them.

I think it's hard to try to work it from the lender side of

things. I've been seeing a ton of WF loans, coming to me from several tc's/ss. They are a large co. & distribute their work throughout the country. I'm seeing many more loans from them than from anyone else right now.
