Why?

Did anyone else get the email from Equifax stating that they need a BGC from Lexis Nexis? I have no problem with that, but I already have one from Lexis Nexis and I have a year before it expires. Why do I have to pay for another one? Guess I will have to cross them off of my list.

You probably shouldn't rely of an email to be determinative of something like that. A call to a living breathing entity with a pulse might well confirm that a new BGC is not needed.

I find it depends on how badly they need you, too.

I got the same email and deleted it. They can take me off their list...I don't have time for $75-$90 edoc closings being offered. Obviously someone in my area is taking them and we wonder why the lowball companies that expect great service for bargain basement pay are still around!

I received four closings with Equifax this year. Unless I were guaranteed first call for my area, I am not paying for another BC. I don't know that they do that much business in this area anyway. If they want to pay, no problem.

I know Equifax has had very bad feedback on payment, and just lousy feedback in general. Those few I've done this year were paid extremely quickly. I called the scheduler (whose name has been used a lot on NR) and he claimed those who had not been paid had not provided all the documents Equifax had requested of them. Don't know about that, though. I personally had problems with them a year ago, but they got straightened out on my end.
