Boston National Titlel, Charlotte, N.C.--excellent
1, Very good to deal with. 2, Solved the Aurelio Ortiz/Precision Signing problem. 3. Organizing their own division for booking outside notaries.
I recommend them highly.

Hey folks, when I googled them this came up: They are rude. Posted 6/26/2012 They are rude. They also are very slow at paying. They want you to do the work fast but don't want to pay. I have invoices over 3 months old. Accounts payable will not return phone calls and always out to lunch. Maybe thats why I can't get paid. I have also be told that there is no one in charge. Be aware of doing work for this company.

Hopefully an isolated problem.

I am very pleased with Boston National Title they picked up the tab for Aurileo Ortiz "Precionsignings" They are wonderful people to deal with. He might have let me down but they did not, I would do business with them any time anywhere.

Glad they resolved that for you. I've done a lot
of work with BN, but it was through NowClosings or TheCloser. They have a couple of big accts.--BofA & Suntrust. I hope they are prepared for the volume of phone calls/emails they'll get as a result of your posting, Saul. We're usually careful about trying to avoid that sort of thing.

Why? Do you mean from the chat board? Otherwise
Isn't that what SC is for? I didn't know the board was usually careful about posting good reviews on companies to avoid the volume of phone calls/emails they'll get. Am I missing something?

Yes, he said, "3. Organizing their own division for booking
booking outside notaries". That's different than posting a favorable comment in SC, IMO.

Re: Yes, he said, "3. Organizing their own division for booking
Agreed. Good news on the forum can be a catch 22. While everyone here would love to get the positive feedback as well as the negative, any positive post here is likely to generate a ton of calls by not only regular posters, but by lurkers who read here. So a company could find themselves bombarded by phone calls from notaries who want to get into their database - many of whom may not meet their requirements. If it's a small operation, that could be extremely disruptive and many would rather seek out people on their own when they need to find someone new, vs. having to deal with all those calls and or emails.
I've been told by at least one person that they have posted on their website that there's a charge to get into their database just to discourage some of that call volume. So the question then becomes, who do you most want to serve - your fellow notaries on this board (who probably include your competition) or your favorite clients?
So, yes, by all means rate them on SC, and add a short sentence in Comments, but you might want to think carefully before adding a post here on this forum about your favorite clients. Undoubtedly, many here will disagree with me, but my guess is that most of them will be newer notaries who are still looking to get established. Sorry folks...
BTW, I should add that there will also be some companies that WANT positive posts about them here so that notaries will accept their assignments. That can be for a wide variety of reasons, though, that could range from their own previous marginal or bad reviews to being erroneously confused with a different company - and lots of reasons in between.

Agree. Dealt with Karen Kohler for the precision signing payment issue and she is great! Got paid right away. She also informed me The Closer is now handling their signings.
