Clean up has begun

Had a nice easy relaxing day. 6pm two companies call to fix what was scheduled for yesterday. At least it was a nice day, now for a long night.

Gee, I don't think I know what "a nice relaxing day"

is anymore. No break for me today, & the rest of the week is filling up.

Re: Gee, I don't think I know what "a nice relaxing day"

I had quite a few calls today too, for this week and next. Today was really slow today, but I was really tired today anyways so wasn't a big deal for me. Got to go on a date night with the hubby Smile

This was for me, a glorious day filled with wonder and amazement at experiencing a miracle. You see, I had cataract surgery today. Those who have experienced the same will undoubtedly agree! ;-)

Good for you!

My husband had his cataract surgeries last fall. It is a totally new world. His vision went from -700 to 20/20 in both eyes. He had worn glasses for 55 years. Now he only needs readers. Eye doc told me that I have a tiny cataract in my left eye.

Oh, Tacoma - I so understand - white is whiter than you have

seen in a long time....it is truly wonderous! Enjoy - and don't over do for a few days. I hope you are having sunshine right now too to see the magnificence of the Olympics & Cascades.

Glad you go to experience the amazement of cataract surgery. My husband and I both had cataract surgery recently. We understand your excitement!

Last call today was"could I do a signing at 10:30 pm?

The last time I did a signing after 10 pm was probably in 2005.

It is absolutely crazy out there. I actually lost count of how many I turned down today and I
am way too tired to check my phone and give anyone a number (as if anyone cares).

I am going to bed to start tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a great EOM!!
Cheers

Re: Last call today was"could I do a signing at 10:30 pm?

Still having end of month. The short sales are abounding. I was in Ventura today signing two refinance loans with a RE broker, and he says he's got refinances coming out his ears. I have a new client who brings the copies and borrowers set to sign, he sits to the side and has Pizza and a beer while I sign his client, in and out in 30 minutes...$150....love it

I turned down a $60 signing, idocs included with Loanclosers.com and another company I've never heard of offering $75 with edocs...nope, get outta my way, loan signing fees are double and triple that at end of month. I'm sure they found someone to do it.

What a trip.

Re: Last call today was"could I do a signing at 10:30 pm?

While I only had 8 signings yesterday, all were $125 and $150. I had two at $275 together back to back, and one at $175, all repeat business. Unbelievable as they were investment properties, had to sign yesterday to close Friday.

I hope you call get your arms around to holding out for $100 bottom line and go for the moon, because this is the season.

A little quieter today so far, only four, but I'm ready for a smoother, saner day.

You must be exhausted. I have been following

you. I will say though you are an inspiration to all. You have to be one of the highest grossing notaries on here, if not the highest. You must make almost $500,000 a year. I can only dream.

I counted turned-down assignments last month

Won't do that again. I turned down 53 assignments on the last day in August. I vowed to follow my rule of "don't ask questions you don't want the answer to" this month. Smile

I was left hanging last night on a BOA closing -

I rushed home to print at 6:15 for 7 PM closing and discovered that docs had never arrived, couldn't get through to a live person at LSI, not even the operator that answers the phone after the automated answering picks up. I tried their new signing agent hotline but just got directed to BOA voice mail. Just absolutely no communication. I called borrowers and told them I would not be coming because I had no docs - they were very confused because their loan officer had gone over the numbers with them and said everything was good to go. I was ticked - I don't like to take up spots on my schedule for this kind of treatment.

Amen to that. That is absolutely the worst. If it was a company that didn't give you much business you could just take them off your list. On the other hand if it is a company that is a substantial portion of your income, what then? You unfortunately live with it.

Re: I was left hanging last night on a BOA closing -

I had the same thing happen. Different title company...same lender :-/ I had vowed to not take anymore of "that" lenders loans (yes, I ask who the lender is when I get the call, because I have had several instances like this with "that" lender) but title begged me. And I caved...my bad.

I am now screening for lender too - just can't tie up

my schedule with this *stuff*. TC called me today to reschedule same loan for tomorrow - I said NO CAN DO! Thanks but no thanks, BOA!
