Cooper and desktopfull
not to beat a dead horse but copper, lsi does give more for the fax backs and they are very good about it. i will now fax back thru their secure site, thanks. i have gmail and time warner road runner email accounts. i just did a test and sent an email to myself from rr and got an error that the file was larger than 20mg (it was 9 pages). i used to get the same error for gmail. i just did a test in gmail CHROME and it sent the same attachment no problem. so i guess i will just always send from chrome. don't know why it would make a difference. thanks cooper and desktop. i hate paying for maxemail

I use Firefox - here is the message from Jessica from Washington that was my lightbulb moment: Msg #428605 (Thank you Jessica!)
I recently had LSI faxbacks for an investment property - 28 pages was only 782 KB. Once I changed my scanner settings to turn off OCR, that solved my large file problem.

when i scan i have the option to scan as pdf and scan as email pdf. i just did a test and when i scaned as an email it was 6.30mg, when i scanned as a pdf doc it was 21.2mg. so i think that's where i am missing the boat. i did see that ocr option and i never use that. to further complicate matters i have windows live mail (hate it) as i didn't want to pay $100 for outlook which i loved when i got new puter. anyway i think i must always use email from the internet, not windows live and to scan as an email pdf not a pdf doc. and with lsi just use there secure email. live and freakin learn. thanks red.
