How to choose a HP Printer for your business.

Just stumbled upon this and admittedly haven't even read it because I'm not in the market for a Printer. But there sure seems to be a lot of info here:

http://www.hp.com/sbso/expert/tips-choosing-printer.html

Also, following are my sorry sad little stories of things to look for:
1. Be absolutely sure that your Operating System is 100% compatible with your Printer.
(example- New Computer/Windows7--said my ol' MFC was compatible--however, it will no longer scan legal size. Also W7 will no longer 'scan as pdf'.) I miss XP.

2. Seems to me that older printers use less toner BECAUSE they will print using a lower dpi (dots per inch) than the newer ones. (Seems the manufacturer really wants to sell toner because you truly cannot see the different between 300 dpi and 1200 dpi on text.)

I hope this helps someone.

Re: Lee, just a WAG here but

have you tried researching runnng the adobe or the printer program in " windows compatible" mode to restore print .PDF size choice? I'm not familiar with "WC" mode, but hope you might find a workaround there.

Re: OK OH!!Brother ?????????? If you have NOTHING to

contribute, DON'T HIT THE POST BUTTON. You HATE Brother, and therefore you now hate me too?
PLEASE stop the vitiol or I'll hit the REPORT button. I tried to assist you when you had Brother(s), which you DUMPED back on OMAX, then got an HP which you couldn't figure out either, by your own words.
ENOUGH already.

Re:????

You help me?????. Your post did not make any sence in regards to the first post. Now it is even more out there. What did I ever do to you but stand up for HP printers. I dont hate OH Brother. I am a signer and have sang many of those songs. I was a question in regards to your post not making any sence. My post ws a spin off from the movie "Oh borther where art thow". OH Brother has lots songs that I love. I thought is was a cool movie. I always think of that movie when I see your name. Thats all. Chill

I agree with Brother (again), OR, it does seem like you are

personally attacking him. And the word is sense, not sence. Geesh. If you're going to talk down to someone at least know how to spell. Not only do your posts come off seething, but it seems unprovoked.

I don't know, maybe that's not how you mean to sound, but, to my eyes and in my perception, that's certainly how I see it!!
