Judgment Recovery Systems - BEWARE!!
1191 Huntington Dr., Ste. 213, Duarte, CA 91010, Attn: Charles Beaton
Completed a GNW assignment for them back in February. It was local - within 5 miles. I charged a modest travel fee and $10 to notarize an "Acknowledgment of Assignment of Judgment" form. Company has not paid, nor responded to phone msgs or a certified demand letter.
Working on collecting from another company I completed a GNW job for, but more recent job (7/25/12). I now have a new policy: GNW requests by businesses must be paid upfront. The signer will pay and the business will reimburse the signer. If the business doesn't agree to MY terms, then they can just call another notary.

No experience with this company, but a tale to tell.
I received a call to notarize an affidavit request by an attorney group. I've done many of these for many law firms and individuals. I'm usually paid upfront through a credit card.
This contact requested that I not only travel, locate and notarize, but also "pay" a fee to the signer for their signature. Because she had been "burned" by giving her credit card info before, she wanted me to do everything, including fronting the money for signer's fee, and then bill her.
Needless to say, when I refused to do so, I was put on her bad list. Kinda reminded me of some of the ss we deal with.

That's rich. A debt collector not paying their own bills.
"I now have a new policy: GNW requests by businesses must be paid upfront. "
That's my longstanding policy as well. If you think about it, there is no reason to extend credit for GNW.
