Mortgagae Connect

calling to sign up as a premier Notary. Asking for way to much. Car insurance, Professional Photos. beside all the regular stuff we have to send. After reviewing all the comments of this company. I am not sure if it is worth signing with them.

I love them. They meet my fee and when I registered, I gave them none of that. Gave them what I give the others, which did not include professional photos nor car insurance and do plenty business with them.

" They meet my fee"

This is a very tricky comment as we each have our own rates. Would that be "they meet my fee of $XXX" or "they meet my fee of $XX"? (I really don't want an answer-just making a point) There is so much undercutting and lowballing going on, that it's rather difficult to differentiate what that means exactly, especially when it comes to taking it into consideration.

This is a three star company with the most recent comment being one star just last week. Loud statement.

Gina is in my area and she does undercut me on fees. She can have all the Mortgage Connect deals - I don't want them or need them.

Re: " They meet my fee"

Have the same situation in my area - they won't meet my fees and offer on $xx. I won't work for them either. She can take'em all.....volumn at $xx does not equal profit for me.

Re: " They meet my fee"

Sorry that you feel that way but you do not have a clue how much Mortgage Connect pays me, and it certainly is not based on that last statement that you took the time to search and post here. I stated in that message what the lowest amount that I would take and it is based on a number of circumstances but MC does NOT pay me that low amount, just as a FYI. Wow.

Not trying to start an argument, just dont appreciate fact-less remarks against me or my business.

Re: " They meet my fee"

Gina, you are the one who admitted that you accept low fees and referred to yourself as a lowballer. If you are not accepting $80 as you stated in that message, how about you tell us how much Mortgage Connect pays you? I have children to support too, and am recently widowed. My husband's income is suddenly GONE. I have bills to pay just like you do. Here's your quote from that same message thread:

<< I have to refrain from thinking of how the fees that I accept effect anyone accept my children. Its nothing personal. >>

IMO it's unprofessional to go toe-to-toe on fees

on the forum. Why not try p/m's.

I'm just quoting her own posts - she is in my area but has

stated that she is not concerned how that affects other signing agents.

Which is why I stopped responding to her. Very unprofessional.

Don't agree it's unprofessional, MW/VA. More on the level of a learning experience for new notaries.

They send out mass emails for available signings in your area. Here in NY they offer $65 for Refi's and $20 for Loan Mods. If that works for you, go for it.

What's really funny is that if undercutters think they're

making out, the joke is on them!!! They have to expend twice the amount of time, twice the amount of overhead (office supplies, gas, car maintenance, marketing fee's are spread thinner, paper, TONER, wear and tear on printers and vehicle, etc., etc., etc!!) and twice the amount of stress!

Unless you really s*#@ at what you do, you don't have to do that. Think about it...if you're getting $80 a closing and you do 2 a day, that's $160. A more professional, confident NSA that knows and understands their worth is making $200 AND they're saving HALF of the above examples.

Wake up my fellow colleagues! You don't have to do it. Prove your worth and demand it. They're not going to lowball you unless you let them. Don't be so da*#%* desperate...lol

Of course, I say that with as much humility as I can muster.
