New rules for Mortgage Connect

Kinda of reminds me of Bill Mahrs new rule segment...anywho got an email from Mortgage Connect requesting all their signings agents to fill out new application to be reapproved and its asking for drivers license, automobile coverage, a professional headshot, thier signing agent training and certification, list of professional references.

Reading the 24 page application, they ask if you are willing to wear a suit for closing, and also follow a script for closing.

Also in the contract you agree to allow them to release all your information to any customer, client, lender. And they want to supply a biography and photo to anyone involved in the closing you are conducting.

They will be rating agents and if a number of issues will be counseled by MC.

Overall nothing in packet saying how they will pay other than sending them a monthly invoice...I see comments in SC about people not being paid.

I got the same email and after reviewing I deleted it. I haven't done a closing for them in a very long time and after seeing reviews in SC I decided they are not a company I want to do business with.

Im one of the people that havent been paid yet. They used to be my best clients until Gabe left then they just fell apart..plus now they only want to pay $75-85 a closing and with faxbacks. They only call me when they cant find a notary to do that job and will relax the low fee to meet my fee BUT after reading this and my personal payment issues with them, Im moving onto to sunnier days....lol

It seems to never fail that the cos. that pay the least

want us to jump through the most hoops. I noted in that email that they're requiring THEIR signing agent training & certification. IMO their requirements are ridiculous & I'm going to pass on this one.

I replied to their email and stated that their application was time consuming and due to the number of assignments that I received this year I would not be applying at this time.

Re: reply

That should have read due to the number of assignments I had received from them I would not be completing their application

Same here. Deleted

I checked my history with them--in three years, less than $600 in work. Not worth the effort considering their recent payment history.

I charge extra for a suiteSmile

I dress in a professional manner for professional pay, but for the $75 they offer I wouldn't bother.

If they would like you to wear a uniform, are they providing the uniforms? And, does this make you an employee?
