New to Notary Rotary :-)
I have had my Commission and been in "the business" for some time (prior to that, Residential Loan Officer for more than 2 decades). For the most part, I have ignored any number of sites with respects to GNW/SA. However; I must state, Notary Rotary is absolutely fabulous... I have added time in my day for the forum... feel as though I know so many of you all ready, not to mention the fact that "we are never to old to learn." What a wonderful data base. So looking forward to everyones' continued posts...

Welcome, Donna!
You're absolutely correct! This is the best. A lot of experience; a lot of knowledge -- all freely shared and exchanged.

Thank you... couldn't agree with you more. Whilst it will take a while to acquaint myself with everything that Notary Rotary has to offer, I absolutely look forward to the learning experience.

Well, you've sure started off on the right foot!
It's very refreshing to have someone introduce him or herself here with gratitude vs. asking for a handout, i.e. asking for members to smooth the way for them so they don't have to make the effort to search it out for themselves. But with a couple of decades in the lending business behind you, you could probably teach US all a thing or two about what kind of hustle it takes to build a business!
Welcome!

Re: New to Notary Rotary :-) Janet K
Janet... I read your profile, thank you, seems as though you could be teaching me. Always a true pleasure, professionally, to interact with someone of your background. Forgive me, due to any number of personal issues (and not seeking additional work with Signing Companies) it's going to take me a bit to complete my profile.

Best of luck to you in this biz. You get out of it what you put into it. You've got a great attitude from the get go. I think you'll find a great deal of short sale and REO purchase activity in your area in the coming months. Go after that!
Great to have you on board. We've come a long way, believe me, on this board's forum to honing professionalism and demeanor since inception.

Welcome Donna, it's nice to have someone who knows how to enter our world without asking us to do their work for them.

Re: New to Notary Rotary :-) Thank you again, but
I've been doing this for a while. I recently decided I could use the interaction of fellow professionals such as yourselves. I have been a quiet reader of Notary Rotary (off and on) through out this summer, and found that I from time to time, I would like to have made a comment and be more involved. BTW, I have also, along the way, learned from you all all. Wonderful to know that we all share so many experiences (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly). While, often times, those experiences are handled in any number and manner of ways other than I might, I see the true and obvious benefit to us all with the utilization of Notary Rotarys' great forum. Truly looking forward to being a part of the group.
I promise, by this weekend, I will fill out the profile. :-)

Awe Donna, how very nice of you. I must agree with the
"longtimers" in that sometimes, newbies (unknowingly I honestly believe) come on feeling entitled and think that there is immediate gratification, that they should expect overnight success and that this is going to be a breeze, but most amazingly, that their competition is going to teach them how to start a business in a very competitive industry and earn $50,000-$100,000 a year, just like that. I know that's what I was led to believe 7 years ago when I took the *%*'s certification program. "There's plenty of work to go around" I remember them saying (OMGosh, I got SOOOO excited to hear THAT!)
What a rude awakening I got. I knew nothing about this site and as a result it took me a couple of years, a whole lot of research and even more patience than a lot of newbies today, that's for sure.
You're very lucky because of your experience. I would assume you probably have contacts that many of us have no clue about.
I tell ya, I continue to learn something everyday from this site. At the very least, I hear an experience that I can relate to or have gone through. It's nice to know I'm not the only one...lol
Welcome. I look forward to hearing your expertise as well. Please be sure to share. But, keep in mind, that there are some very outspoken personalities (myself included) that may have opinions that differ and do not always come from a "loving, caring..." or even professional stance at times (dare I say sometimes to the point of offensively?) Many times it's people who don't know, have answered the question a hundred times or has misunderstood and responds from an emotional point of view. I think for the most part we all want to help each other even though this IS a competitive field.
Don't take it personally (yeah, that's easier said than done...).
I notice that on this particular website there are 30-35 other NSA's within a 33 mile radius of you. There are 34 within a 13 mile radius in my area. And that's only this one site. It seems like you are situated to make this a very lucrative business. Since you have that leverage, you are in a position to demand better and higher fees than many of us! Go for it!!! As I said above (or below, whatever), don't let them sucker you into believing any different.
I wish you much luck and success.
Warmly, Cheryl
