I think Harry & staff have decided to keep them listed. Some cos. start up again under new names.

But what would be the point of still listing them under the old name if they start up again under a new name?

I'm sure Harry & company don't have the time to police the listings and see if the companies are still active, but if a member reports (directly to them, not in the forum) that a signing company is no longer in business, maybe they could verify as time allows and remove the listing.

How about a checkbox on the dislayed list after Date Added?

If there is a checkbox on the displayed list, not within the company profile, then we can see it immediately. I like having the history because if one company goes out of business and starts up another business, usually someone has already reported in the Forum the relationship between the two. If one wants to review the former business comments, at least it is there for review.

I like the checkbox idea on the displayed list. It takes time to go to each profile when trying to sign up for new companies to go into their profile, click their website to have a failed link.

Yes, it is too much for Harry to monitor, but when reported to him, he can look at it.

Just my two cents.

I'm thinking they're plenty busy to trying to keep up with

notary side of the database, and providing us with such great service on supplies & insurance.
