Printer deal-Costco online

They have a Brother HL-5450DN for $129.99 (after $60 off) & free shipping.
It says it's "automatic duplex", so I don't know if you can turn that feature off.
Interesting thing is that this printer is set up for air print or cloud printing, meaning you can print from a mobile device. Thought this was worth passing along & sounds like it could be a good mobile printer.

I saw that too, I think I might get it for a 'eom' printer to keep in my car. Right now I have a dumb phone but my contract is up next month, this might be handy to have. Thanks for reminding me!

I looked this up on CNET and they gave good review except: The bad: The iPrint&Scan app can't print PDFs more than 20 pages, nor does it support legacy models like the popular HL-2270DW.

You can buy it from Amazon for $176.00 and the reviewer there said: To address other reviewers' points that this is not a wireless printer, I'll admit it was a little confusing, but the 5450 allows for 'wireless' printing from devices such as iPad to the 5450 which requires you to connect the 5450 to your network with an ethernet cable. If you desire truly wireless (self-contained wifi) look to the 5470 for slightly more. $191.00 on amazon.

I always like Amazon reveiws because they are real people who have used the product.

The only problem I see with this model it is that it's toner is too expensive right now and there is no compatible cartridges at this moment.

PC World review of HL-5450DN:

PC World review of new HL-6180DW:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2408916,00.asp

NOTE: In both articles the version with the T at the end, as in HL-6180DWT is recommended if you eventually want a 2nd FULL tray, as the cost to buy it stand alone is high.

Both articles mention cost per page to print, I assume that is with OEM Brother cartridge. Aftermarket, such as SuperMediaStore cartridges or refilling your own cartridges would significantly reduce cost per page.

Will the LT5300 tray work with the 5400 series?

Bob, I think you'll need an LT5400 n/m
