Pro Mobile Notary
Has anyone worked for Pro-Mobile-Notary? Can't seem to find any reviews for them.

Listed in Signing Central. That feature is one of the most
valuable here on NR, so I hope you learn to use it. You can also use the orange search button to pull up discussions.

Howard has a stellar reputation here. He's very businesslike and might sometimes come off a bit rough around the edges, but he really cares about the notaries that work for him and tries to compensate them fairly.

Marian - we disagree. This is not stellar.
"Re: IMO this is another sneaky way to ADVERTISE & PROMOTE Posted by Pro Mobile Notary of CA on 9/5/12 11:20pm Msg #433309 Dear MW, your terminal stupidity reeks from your post.
I do not use this medium for promoting our service. I do not have to. I discourage people from contacting us and we still get between 50 and 100 unsolicited requests for entry into our network.
Part of the reason I visit this toxic cesspool of mostly negativity is to figure out which people NOT TO CALL when we need to go outside our network for coverage."

Yeah.... I missed seeing that one.
I haven't worked for Howard, and I'm not sure I would...only because they really don't have work in my area. But he does have a 5-star rating here, and not many companies can say that. That's really all I wanted to point out. I did say he was "rough around the edges."

Rough like a buzz saw!
I just feel that if he has so little regard for the posters, he should avoid the "cess pool" and he darn sure ought avoid calling one of the family "stupid!"
I figured you had missed it.

I'll work for a five star anytime even if bigfoot is on the other end of the line. Just gotta put on my big boy pants. I worked in the corporate world for years and Howard's post is tame compared to some of the crap I endured in the board room.

Re: Marian - we disagree. This is not stellar.
Yeah... I tend to agree. It's not easy for a company to maintain a 5-star rating here, so I think that says something. If Howard did have anything in m area, I'd probably take it because of that reputation, not any specific burliness. I'd rather take that over a polite person who is fairly easy to work with except that she can't offer more than $75 and can't pay for 45+ days. I'd take Howard's company any day over that.

Good for you, Jim. You, too, Buddy.
I respect your thoughts on that. I admit that if I needed to take assignments from the SS in question, I would keep quiet, too...until I could leave a bad situation.
However, I can also tell you that even if I never said a word, it would not escape me that there is no universe in which openly saying the things to a colleague of this nature would be ok. I really think that this is all a matter of whose ox is being gored.
I am sorry that you have had to endure worse in the board room. I, too, have been in a few board rooms--for a decade with CEOs and representatives of Fortune 500 companies, as well as elected officials. In a more recent life, serving four VIPs at the top of an entity that employees 5,000. And, for more than a few years, serving as legal assistant and assistant to judges in courts at law.
I have only seen two persons act out like this in real life; one was not invited back to the table for very long; and the other, a woman, was put into a cubical, told to keep herself under control and out of sight, or else. I certainly was not in a position at any of these times to have to permanently endure any "crap." Produce a mountain of work at a moment's notice, even if it means working day and night to complete a project? Sure. That's what I am good at doing. Be told that a group that I was connected with that it was a "toxic cess pool" or that I reeked of stupity? No.
Therefore, I cannot judge your outlook, nor properly empathize with where you guys have been. It's all perspective.

Re: Good for you, Jim. You, too, Buddy.
First of all, I have never had an assignment from Howard. Second, I simply made a statement about how I do business with five star companies no matter how difficult it can be. Third, your rant and tirade with me was unprovoked. Fourth, perhaps you are in need of a cubicle with four walls and no opening.

Re: Good for you, Jim. You, too, Buddy.
Jim, WTH. Go back and read Brenda's post. A rant and tirade? I believe you're mixing her post with Howard's, he's the one that goes off the deep end whenever someone disagrees with him. I've seen his posts on other forums, he does the same thing. My interpretation was that Brenda was actually sympathizing with you and Buddy, being part of corporate America. Many of us have been there and know the stress it entails.
You evidently haven't been on this forum too terribly long to realize Brenda is a very well respected member that has freely given to anyone that asks, much knowledge and insight about this career path many of us have chosen and I don't think she was in anyway insulting you. In fact, I know she was not. It's not in her character.
You are going to ruffle some feathers with your post.
Brenda, my hat's off to you on your response!

Re: Good for you, Jim. You, too, Buddy.
Thanks, Jan. I didn't mean it as a tirade. I have been mistreated little--and, Karma (not me) took care of those. I may be a little bit idealistic. I feel that everyone must do what they need to; I feel that the behavior that stuck in my craw is not appropriate in any business community, board room, or conversation.

I have done many signings for Howard and I can tell you he is one of the best to work for. Meets or exceeds my fee, pays on time, is professional, no hand holding. I like that!
