REMEMBER 911!
We all remember the fateful, devastating events of 911 at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Just like the afternoon JFK was shot in Dallas. These things never leave us, they are indelible in our brains.
I was sitting in the company cafeteria of The Capital Group in downtown LA, 55th floor of the Arco Building. Pretty crazy. 6am, I called my sister in Ojai to tell her a plane crashed through the WTC, no wait, another one goes through the second tower. Crazy, bizarre. I will always be amazed at how we were able to stop these senseless acts of terrorism so quickly. Every major city was targeted I'm sure.
This event prompted me to leave the LA area and get a job in Santa Barbara in 2001, immediately following the event. The headhunter called me the week before and asked if I would be open to relocation. DUH! When can I be there, how about yesterday!
Hope you all have an opportunity to watch Good Morning America's coverage of commemoration and honor of our many fallen angels in 2001.
