Refi-Mortgage in a Living Trust
Does the Mortgage in the State of Florida need witnesses? There has been no change in Title. I know if there is a change in title is he only time you need witnesses in the State of Florida. I don't know why, but something in my head is telling me a Mortgage in a Trust has to be witnessed, but I am not sure. Does anyone out there know

I agree, Harry. When you have a question like that, call
the hiring party. It's not something we should guess at, and are not necessarily expected to know it. ;-)

Depends..
By Florida statute, witnesses are not required on mortgages in Florida; however each individual county is free to impose their own requirements, and some have instituted the two-witness requirement - Dixie County and Suwannee County.
That said, I agree with the others - check with the hiring party - sometimes it's a lender requirement. Easier to just do what you're told than argue it...sometimes not worth the effort.
