Slammin September! Wow, what a mo. Haven't
seen a surge of business like this in several years. Low interest rates & happy borrowers who are on average saving a couple of hundred bucks a mo. Who says there's no economic recovery going on? :-) LOL

From the 8th on it picked up
The last two weeks made up for the first 8 days. I am hoping October does the same since I will be away the first 9 days.

I too had a super month. If we could just get these LO's and TC's to not all want 6pm, it would be even better. Let us work it out with the borrower, say a time frame of 4-6, 5-7, 6-8 would just be peachy keen.

Re: From the 8th on it picked up
I have learned to give the scheduler the following caveat: Everyone wants to sign tonight at the same time. I have five files to get through, is your client flexible? I think I can give them a range of x to x, and I make sure everyone is within a reasonable traveling distance. If two are at the north end of town, I try to get them together, downtown folks together.
It can make you absolutely crazy. I do understand some people have children and their first thought is to get them fed and in front of a dvd so we're not distracted.
When something as signficant as signing loan papers you've been waiting for for 4-6 months comes up, I think people can be a little more flexible. One lady, 80 years old, waiting for me until 7:45pm...turned out she's a night owl. If it hadn't been for the great coffee she made for us, I would have fallen flat into the mound of paperwork before me!

I am so fascinated that so much of this works for you
I sometimes get the feeling that you live in "Stepford." You make me feel inept. I do actually to that. Most times the "scheduler" has choices and although there are exceptions, they will find someone to meet their schedule. Occasionally, I will hear "work it out with the borrower."

I still completed a good number of loans but it was a little less than I've done each of the preceeding four months. For some reason, the first 13 days of September were incredibly slow. The last half of September was very busy for me so that helped salvage my numbers for the month. One good thing is that the vast majority of clients that are keeping me busy right now pay in the $125 - $150 range. There are still good companies out there to work for - companies that value experience, accuracy, and reliability over just any warm body who will close a loan for $XX.

All my numbers are up; $ booked, deposits, and $ per signing. Annual goal has been adjusted up and new goal is attainable. Riding this wave as long as possible and storing up for the "correction".
