Title Resource Group

I was scheduled on friday to do a closing 9am on Monday. I was to print the docs from the website. I logged on Sunday evening to see if the docs were up yet and found none. I called my listed contact for that signing and left a voicemail. I logged on again at 7am monday and still no docs. I called TRG and no one was there. So, now down to the wire and finally got someone on the line who said the docs had just gotten in and they were uploading them. They would contact the borrowers and tell them the signing would be an hour later. I printed the docs and was just finishing up when TRG calls back and says the loan officer would not delay the closing and the docs were being e-mailed to him for printing and they would be there waiting for me. I was told I would still receive full pay because I had already printed.

So I immediately headed out to the closing (which was being held at a Chase Bank). When I got there, a front lobby person with attitude took me to a closed room in the very back of the building where the borrowers and 3 other people were already signing and notarizing the documents, paperwork spread all over the table. One of the people said, "we have started without you. We called in one of our own notaries since you could not make it on time. You can sit in if you want while we finish up." I stated, "I need to get instructions from the Title Company", as this is not the normal procedure. I stepped back out and called TRG. They told me this was highly irregular and the loan officer told them nothing about this. They said go back in the room, and take the package offered, go through the package and make sure all the signatures and notarizations are correct, take the package to drop. I did this and had to have their notary come back to complete to Patriot Act form. He had notarized the signatures but did not complete the form. Then, I had to ask the borrowers to date some of the documents as they had no dates next to their signatures. After everything was completed, I was putting the documents into the UPS envelope I brought and they asked me if I was supposed to take the docs, and that they thought (the loan officer) they were supposed to drop the docs as they had conducted the closing. I told them the title company said for me to take and drop the documents. Everyone shook hands and I left.

I had two other closings for TRG that day and was called an hour before each and told they were cancelled. My phone usually rings off the hook from TRG on the last week of the month and has this month until this episode and now no calls at all from them.

Anyone else have this problem? Up until now TRG has been great with excellent pay with no fax backs, including extra pay when accepting last minute closings.

This was probably a Chase problem and not Title Resource. Were the two cancelled signings Chase also? I have at least 1/2 of all Chase signings cancel. As I mentioned yesterday, I no longer take them at month end because it messes everything else up. I love working for Title Resource Group, no hand hold, and very prompt pay.

I just recently started receiving calls from TRG.. I love them. Have not had any problems as of yet. The very first signing was a last minute one, and they offered more for it. Before I asked. So as of now, love them.

Chase has lots of problems tho... No matter who the TC is.

Yep. On a Thursday afternoon they cancelled my Friday 8:15 AM signing and scheduled another NP for 9:30, which WAS NOT good for the borrowers! Yes, I was available, but not asked, just told "Notary services are cancelled" in an email. The TRG rep did not return my phone message and did not reply to my email asking why that happened. I think I'll just enjoy life without TRG.
