Transamerican Escrow, Newport Beach, CA - be careful

Took a signing from them on 8/15/12 ( to be paid within 2 weeks). Dealt with both Karen Huynh, escrow officer, and Stephanie Chew.

Not listed on SC. Tried listing but SC tells me already listed. Looked at all listings for Newport Beach. None listed at 15 Corporate Plaza Dr, Ste 100, Newport Beach, CA; 949-706-5207, 949-706-5550 ext. 210, fax 949-258-5882; website: www.taescrow.com.

To date, have not been paid. When I inquired, Karen said on 9/20/12:

I wonder if they just use the word "escrow" in their name? If they are truly an Escrow company, they have to be a corporation and have reserves, so this "I pay you when I get paid" for an escrow company is baloney. And they are audited regularly. Thankfully, an escrow company in this state are not SS so you can get the ball rolling by drafting a complaint letter to the Commissioner of Corporations.
