Transamerican Escrow - update -

Since I'm unable to post in SC and to update anyone interested:


Received payment from Transamerican Escrow today, 9/24/12. I thought it interesting they paid via MoneyGram Money Order. In 6-1/2 yrs of accommodating loan signings, I'd never had an escrow company pay with a money order.

Guess I should be glad they paid!

Glad to hear you got paid, though something's definitely wrong with an escrow company using a money order to pay you, considering what is required to even have an escrow company in CA. But oh well, they get audited regularly so, whatever they're doing/not doing will be exposed...HA!!

Hopefully it is good, and not like a Craigs list counterfeit check! Something "off" if they do not have a business check and have to go that route to use a MO

Further thinking, I would cash that thing at a check cashing place, do not deposit it, and if they are going out of business and that thing is no good, at least you have your money! Doesn't make sense. I never worked for them, do they have a history of non payment?

Took it directly to my bank and deposited it with a teller rather than at the ATM. Handled like any other transaction with no issue ... hope it stays that way.

To answer your question, Lucky, this was my first experience with them and was unable to find any reviews about them.
