US Notary/Too Funny
they emailed the request for closing and because i was at my computer i responded pretty quickly and asked some questions as i have never worked for them before. they just emailed back and said it assigned to someone else. i guess someone else had a quicker finger than me. what a way to do biz. what if you are out and about. how about calling a person. the fee was on the request so i am thinking it wasn't that. my, my.

Obviously they will take whoever is able to reply the quickest, no matter how good or bad they are. You probably saved yourself some grief by losing out on this one. I just delete this type of mass email as it is all but impossible to be the first responder, and the company is never one that has really good reviews or pays decently anyway.

i took a few minutes to respond to check here first and i am guessing someone with a smartphone grabed it not knowing what it was. whatever.

Re: US Notary/Too Funny
I have access to my work email on my phone - which isn't really all that sophisticated; not at all like the all-in-one appliance, phone and cinema types of nowadays. I would generally prefer this method of contact.
A Field inspection company I occasionally work with, sends me text messages; I just reply "yes" or "no." Sometimes, though when I'm at the computer I will accept/decline an assignment from them before they see my email - and then I have to try real hard to suppress my annoyed tone when they Call!

i totally understand that smartphone is the new wave, but i just won't get one. i have a small loyal following and that is fine with me. so far i have had only 2 cos. that email and not call, must be cheaper. i was at my computer but my 7 minute time lapse was obviously toooooooooo long for the jetsons.

If this is the company with Carl Cravise and Nick in Long Island, New York, you are lucky you didn't take it! They don't pay, BEWARE! They still owe me for a closing I did in May 2012.
