the Occupancy and Financial Status Affidavit and the Occupancy Affidavit and Financial Status. Be nice to get rid of one of these forms. Anyone else noticing the doc sets are getting bigger and bigger? I had 5 copies of the TIL, 3 HUD-1A, and 4 of the 1003! What a joke! Not to mention BofA's pathetic 20-30 pages of instructions. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr............

told me that what's happening is because of the gov's involvement and having to cross the T's and dot the I's, they are making the same doc's that add a little something (loophole closure) to the one document, but then they don't remove it from the package so you have multiple doc's saying the same thing just in different verbiage. It's just ridiculous.

Cheryl, that LO is wrong! Those closing instructions date back to Countrywide's era. They were doing those instruction pages for many years!

No improvement is worthwhile unless it can be communicated to a TV viewer in 5 seconds (at most) of an advertisement. Since the benefits of not having 17 copies of the same document can't be used to convince a consumer to choose a lender with lean documents rather than a lender with fat documents, there is no reason to bother cleaning up the package.

It's ridiculous that you can go through one ream of paper on one closing. Stay strong out there and only accept jobs with good fees because between gas and paper it's getting tough!
