"Good Morning...This is Nations..."

"As in Nations Direct?", I ask.
"ha, ha...yes. I have a signing in your area for xxxx..."
"Thanks for calling, but considering the hassle of working with your company, not to mention the outrageous low fees that I will have to call and beg for after three months, I'm not available."
"OK-thanks anyway" ~click~

Ahhh---that felt GOOD!

LMAO, they're so used to it, they were probably waiting for

their ear to be blown off. Your response was probably music to their ears...lmao It was oh so sweet compared to some I'm sure.

Excellent though! Thanks...

I did the exact same thing yesterday, this was with ISGN. The person said they would looking the fact I did not received payment as promised. It sure felt good to give it back to them. However, I did make a impact, I received a email today requesting a copy of my social security card! They no longer accept w-9. I called the number and left a message a very explicate one. Stated, my w-9 was good last year, I am the one and same person as then, that this is a cop-out to avoid paying me for my service. I requested a call back, I was informing the title company as well as the borrower of the non-payment. Still no call back. My email came from: Vayu Block, Salarpuria GR Tech Park, Whitefield/Bangalore 560 066,, whats anyone's take on this...

That's ridiculous. What about those of us who have a TIN?

I do not provide my SS# on the W-9s I send out but use a TIN issued for my business instead.

They don't need a copy of your actual card anyway, just a W-9 since we are independent contractors, not employees.

I would never call the borrowers. That would be so unprofessional IMO. They already paid. They should not be bothered with that.

I did one signing for them.... and it was the worst experience of my life. It was such a hassle, it was not worth the amount of money. They did met my fee ( i think only because it was a last minute thing). They call me before the signing to verify that i had confirmed the appointment, and than to make sure I had printed the docs, and call again to re-confirm how long it will take me to get there, and again when I got to the signing, and again in the middle of the signing, and the end of the signing, and the next day to tell me it was ok to fed ex the package.

It was such a hassle not worth any fee. Now they call me and offer very low fees, and when I tell them my fee $1xx, they reply by saying well we are only getting paid $xx can you meet us half way. I'm like, no thanks. Now when they call I ask for additional fee (the xtra to put up with their hassle).

Hmmmm...It's surprising how many people hang up on me as soon as I say, "Good morning...This is Nations..." Especially women.

Must be in the name.

Be careful, there is also a Nations Direct Title Company

It is unfortunate that they have the same name, but you should make sure it is the signing service calling instead of the title company before you turn them down.

I have had good experiences with Nations Direct Title but have never worked for Nations Direct Signing Service.

Good to know! I've never received a call from Nations Direct TITLE...

Sneaky how they now just say "Nations"!

You know, if we all stop taking business from them...just saying ;-)

Got an email from them (Nations Direct) asking for updated commission info, etc. Sent it, including my new NNA background Certificate. Got a reply that they needed the "background report" that the certificate was not adequate. I asked who needed the report? she relied "they". told her that no other company has asked for the report, that was what the certificate is for. She told me that if I didn't sent the entire report that I could not work for them! I told her that I would not sent the report, so I guess they will not be calling me any for their micro managed signings.....oh well.
