I use the paypal reader. Works great, can email receipt to client from the phone, money shows up quick. This one works much better than the square reader that I had before.

Intuit is very good. Can use for cash transactions too,
With Intuit/ GoPayment, you can send receipts for cash transactions via email at the time of purchase too. So in addition to credit cards, I can send reciepts instantly. Personalized receipts with photo, etc. Easy to use, reasonable fees. Good customer service. I have been using it for 2 years now.

Re: Intuit is very good. Can use for cash transactions too,
I've been using the Square for a few months now with no issues. With that one, you can also send an instant receipt to someone's email, although I read that you can only enter one line of info on the screen when you enter the charge. I haven't tried to do more because of that, so I just include an itemization all in one line. Hasn't been a problem. But I don't know anything about adding a photo. That may be worth looking into. I picked Square over Intuit just because the fees were slightly lower in certain categories.
One other thing I learned, when it comes to having them sign their name... Since I added an Invisibleshield protector to my smartphone, it's much more sensitive. People have no problem at all signing their name with just a finger. Comes out great. That screen protector also prevents glare and makes the phone easier to read. I think I've posted about this before, but in case you couldn't tell, I'm a big fan - even though it was a little bit tricky to apply - but it has a lifetime guarantee. The "skins" that came with my gs3 didn't last very long at all.

PayPal...for sure, the Square pretty much sucks and takes
forever to get into your bank account. PayPal is instant.
Get PayPal..I use it with my S3...love it!

Yes, Squareup take 2 to 3 days for transaction to be deposited into your account.

Yep, Square was a hassle for me. Had problems getting it to connect, but Paypal just does what's supposed to and is dependable.

I get a notice that a card has been charged within hours, and money deposited within 24 using the Square.

I use Square on my Android, too. I also use one of those rubber-tipped pen-like thingies for people to sign on my phone. It's much easier for us older people to write some semblance of our signatures that way.

I have a stylus like that, as well. It's way more professional than asking people to use their fingers.
This is the one I use:

Re: Stylus is a good idea, never thought of that Marian...
Yup... I use it on my Android phone just fine. It says it's for ipad/iphone, but it works fine on all of my mobile devices. It's just a rubber tip stylus.

Same as difference w/ using your index finger...)
So far, the reaction I've had from people using their finger is something like "Wow! Very cool!" And I never have to worry about keeping track of the stylus. However, when I did my test runs, I didn't yet have the invisibleshield on my screen and it wasn't nearly as easy.
But if you're techy and like that sort of stuff, I say go for it. I haven't yet felt the need. (However, so far I've used my Square exclusively in office settings, in case that makes a difference.)

All the difference in the world, Lee.
Fingers and styli work. Erasers do not, in my experience.
Oh, and the various cords that lie around my computer--they work. I put my phone down and they touch the screen and, BAM, the cords giggle and hijack my phone's voice to text / Siri-like functions so that I text my boss or minister something like . . .
"Alright! That's enough! Stop that &^%#$!@# barking!"

Re: Not a techie, the difference between the stylus @ $15
Google online places to get styluses (styli?). I got three for less than $10. I use the Square everywhere, and keep the stylus clipped to the cardboard with the Square so it's always handy. BTW, I don't use PayPal due to issues they won't resolve. Have another option that is international, started up last year, and has a phone contact number to actually talk with someone. They're based in UK. If you're interested, PM me.

I use Squareup. Love it! Takes Credit Cards and documents Cash transactions. Also, I added Logo/Picture which is a nice touch. Sends receipts instantly to client. Rates are pretty good when you compare. Customers like the Stylist pen when signing. Have no complaints on this end and it really comes in handy. Don't think you can go wrong with any device you choose in the end. Good Luck

Asfar as Paypal readers go..............
The payment goes into your paypal account correct? Then you transfer to your checking??? I already have a Paypal account from e-bay selling. It seems to be a toos up between Square and Paypal.
