Clearing memory of a printer

Is there a way to clear the memory of a printer immediately after using it? I've been in offices where I need to scan and email docs, and worry about the info left behind on the machine. I don't know the brand or model of the printer but will check the next time I'm there.

Thanks, I didn't think it was that easy! Hope it works. Next time I go in I'm looking up the model number.

If the printer in question has a hard drive (many commercial printers do) then you cannot clear it. It will be there literally forever. There are scrubbing programs, however, the user will not have access to them.

I was afraid of that. These are big, about the size of a fiat printers.
