Pedro got the job.

Got a call yesterday for closing today at 3 confirmed with BO all set right, get a call this morning problem with loan will call you when fixed. 15 minutes ago get a call from lender how did closing go told him the closing is postponed. Well I smell something an call the BO says Pedro came an closed the loan adios $xxx. Sorry, Just had to vent.

It wasn't necessarily HIS hiring party that shafted him.

Title companies have been known to send closings to two or more signing services. When two schedule the same closing, the title company will call one signing service to say the loan was cancelled, the same thing that the OP was told.

Happened to me this month.

What I would do is call the signing service and tell the scheduler the loan wasn't cancelled. If he claims to have no knowledge that the loan went forward, then tell him you expect HIM to call the title company and demand compensation for you for the wasted time.

I would never undequote another NSA to get their assignment. Once I got an offer from a notary to take her assignment since she couldnt do it. i was exceedingly reluctant but finally i did it--- and I did inform the SS that i was just fillin in for this girl they had appointed for the job. I never asked them for any work after that since I felt it was unethical.
this is HOW I view it.. if we take work from others, its just a question of time before God takes away ours-- and with a heavy interest! I honestly feel sorry for Pedro
