Reverse advertising
I received an interesting email from a local lender advertising their loan program. I responded back that I did not need a loan at this time, but would be willing to work for them as a notary. I am wondering what type of reply, if any, I will get.

Quite a few years ago, I got a similar e-mail (could have been local bank or said local bank's national loan center--couldn't really tell) and replied as you did. Got chewed out royally by whoever the LO was that had to PAY for this (non)lead. I won't be doing that again. Hope I just got a grouch and your attempt works out to everyone's best interests.

Lee, I'm not understanding exactly what happened. Would you explain that again, please?

I prefer to have lemonade, rather than only lemons. The more lemons I squeeze, the sweeter and more often I have great lemonade. To me this is a the same as advertising to people who try to sell to me by various methods.

I do this as well..Lets say a loan company calls my house? I engage in a little small talk and before I tell them No thank you I ask who they use for closings what TC etc..I then call or email them to see if they can use my services. I do the same thing with any mailings..gleen info from these to market to.
