Sign of Desparation or what!

Got a phone call at 4:30pm and we got disconnected and it was an 800 number anyway so I didn't think twice about it. Not a second later they called back, so I answered, heard weird sounds in the background and he asked for Victoria (which is me) not my company name or my last name at all. This is Nowclosings and could you do a closing for me at 5PM? UH No well it pays $100 if I could get a little more would you do it? UH No because I couldn't get it printed and arrive at the appointment in a 1/2 hour ( DAH). Well it actually is for 5:30 could you do it for me? No sorry, well if I could get it pushed back to 6:30 would you do it? No sorry I am not available sorry.

This was the conversation ver badum. WOW I feel so sorry for the borrower.

They are on RIPOFFREPORT.com. Sign Now and Now Signings, I believe. Christopher Joseph something, Newport Financial LLC in Newport Beach.

Re: What were you holding out for?

Never mind. Not the same. Nowclosings in NC, but their ratings are sporadic...little of three stars...it's a long way to go to collect for nonpayment, however.

Never in 8+ years had a problem with them ,and you are bashing them not even getting your facts straight. Alex and Brandon run them and are out of NC. Trust me, when the orders come in, they call to get them closed. If title sends last minute, is not their fault. If you are going to say negative things about a company, at least know who and what you are talking about. Apparently you are spoiled and never get last minute closings where you are. It is common in my book.

Luckydog. I don't think this comment is directed towards me,is it? I think you may have directed this comment to the wrong person by mistake...

Re: I haven't had any payment issues with NOW either..

No Barb25, not directed at you, it was directed towards the initial poster who couldn't even get the SS straight, and was criticizing their practices. I am just saying, sometimes or most of the time, it is not the SS dropping the ball, it is the title company who does not let them know or have docs ready until last minute, then call the SS expecting to get it covered. I have never charged a "rush" fee to anyone, if I can accomodate I do, if not, I pass it because I cannot. Simple. I do not nickel and dime my good SS's. If it is something late night and last minute,, yes, I do expect a little extra, but not during normal business hours. As far as them pushing the time back, it is better to get what you can do in one phone call then to keep calling back if they cannot find anyone last minute, and find your availability.
Yes, I take all of the wok I can get from them, and have never been disappointed and pay my price and on time.

Sorry, that was 101Livescan who accused another SS, not NowClosings.

Re: I haven't had any payment issues with NOW either..

Well Luckydog I wasn't "bashing" anyone. If you were to read it again you would see that I was just giving the conversation verbadum. Those are the facts. The reason I felt sorry for the BO is because it sounded like they were going to be asked to change the time a few times with no real consideration of the person the pressure was really being put on. First he said 5pm, then changes it to 5:30pm, then offers to raise the fee, then wants to get it pushed back another hour. No I'm not spoiled but I won't be put into an embarassing position, and having to make all the apolgies for the time problems that others "may have created". I've been doing this business long enough to know that by checking nowclosings.com on NR during the call was the best answer for me, not them.
You just bashed me without knowing the facts. You go ahead and work for them all you want.

Re: I haven't had any payment issues with NOW either..

I have nothing against short notice closing, but I expect more pay for "rush services." Ever try to get a business to do a service "NOW" and not charge a "rush" fee? Unless there is a really good reason for the "rush", I think SS should pay more.

love those "its got to happen right now" deals. (yes, that was sarcasm)
