Skye Closing
Whats up with Skye Closing. They have been one of my best companies. But over the last month they have called me with several very low ball offers. I hate that, I need the business. Once they refused to come up $5. My cost have gone up not down. Another good company going down hill.

Not sure, but recently they called with a closing, turned out they were working for a TSI Quicken loan. I had to turn it back because I had a family emergency at the last minute. 30 minutes after the appt. I got a call from TSI, why hadn't I shown up. I told them what happened. Guess Skye closings dropped the ball, TSI wasn't happy. I told them how sorry I was that that happened but I gave them 5 hours notice.

Same thing happened to me. Two closings scheduled a week in advance. No sign of docs. Decided easier to turn back (their idea not mine) than lie in wait. Right before scheduled closing, TS called to see if I was "still available." Weird!

I'm not sure what is up with them. I've had two for them recently - both times Skye double-booked their own notaries. Both instances the borrower said - someone already called to confirm. When I called Skye to report - they said "go anyway - see who gets there first"... umm No! I say get things straight on your end, then give me a call. The third episode was last week - I was assigned a closing by text, never got an email, never got a call, didn't accept - sent email and called to say "not me". Then a few days later got a nasty gram telling me to close out the appointment in their system... umm, still not me! Not sure what's going on over there!

All very interesting...I'll keep in one sector of my recall memory bank for future use.

Did you check their website?
As far as a "Nasty Gram" regarding close out of job, I've NEVER had a nasty gram from them, just a reminder occasionally to go to web site and close our job if I've forgotten after a late evening. All of my dealing with them have been very professional and I've contracted with them since they started in business. From the above emails, I'm beginning to think we're not talking about the same SS.
PS. And they pay very timely!

Re: Did you check their website?
Like the ease of their site . . . and payment never been an issue. Problems being reported here are more admin (too many "schedulers in the soup") and mis-communication. My last encounter with them was an email telling me to "ignore" the previous emails (including all the Title trailers, communication, etc.) concerning a redraw due to Title error. I called borrower and was told "another notary came."
It just "strange" - especially after I quoted my fee for returning to borrower.

They always paid very well. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a ownership change or why they have started low balling there offers.
