Slower than ever...is it appropriate to call?
I'm thinking about providing customer care calls to companies who call me each month. Just to let them know I am still here and thank them for their past business. 1) Is this appropriate? 2) If you've done this, how effective was it?
I've only done 10 this month with nothing else on the books. I understand that EOM is not here yet but it usually picks a little by now.

I personally don't think it helps but if you have the time and it makes you feel like you are being pro-active no harm in trying.
I have been extremely busy this month so I think it is just a matter of where you are. It will more than likely pick up for you.

Cant hurt. I have done that before, sent out "How are you doing" emails asking if they had any work. Thats only to the schedulers Im real familiar with.
However, this week I'll be calling around either way. just keeps my name fresh in their minds.

IMO, it's ALWAYS appropriate to reach out and touch base with your contacts - unless, of course, someone tells you "don't call me, I'll call you."
I'm not saying make a pest of yourself. But, contacting once in while, to say hi and still available, that's ok.

Agree with Yoli. Although my profiles are updated on various sites since moving, I still get calls outside my area from a few vendors. I just provide them with my new info for calls. So if you want to reach out to your vendors, it probably wouldn't hurt. Keeping them in the loop that you are available is good.
