I got a call last night at 9:45, for GNW. When I quoted my fee the lady what other notaries charge? When we got past that she called me back and asked for a better discount! WTH!? You want me travel that time of night, and 15 miles one way and you want a discount! LOL

I'd have been closed for the night at that point. Refer her toa pack-n-ship or the UPS Store...when she finds out they're closed at 10pm she'll appreciate the value of your availability.

That's why I don't advertise 24/7 - I'm done at 9:00pm...if you haven't realized before then that you need something notarized then, gee, I'm sorry.

You didn't say what the $25 was for - what kind of job?

If one doc/signature, that may be doable - or maybe up to $35.

Would be curious what the job entailed.

They told me, "Its only about 15-20 pages." It was a little over 30 miles round trip.

Sounds like those debt elimination retainers people

are posting on LinkedIN about - someone's on some serious drugs if they take those for $25...and so is company offering it. I'd ask at least $75 for this - in my very immediate neighborhood.

it was a grant deed four signers way in BFE lol no printing just drop off at fedex when the signing is complete. four signers is $XX plus travel $XX and i know the company they are getting $XXX for the order.

Man, it must be going around because I got one like that yesterday. Guy said "It's only 30 pages" and I said, "my minimum fee is $100 or I don't leave the house..."

Seriously? $25 for what was at least a 25 mile trip one way? These SS are getting nuttier by the month.
